I became a Self-Employed Ceramic Artist after getting my Bachelor of Arts (Ceramics) in the mid 90’s. Whilst designing, making and selling pots to retail and gallery outlets throughout Australia was rewarding, it didn’t take me long to turn into a traveller seeking unique tastes and treats of other cultures. The countries I’ve visited are - Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, France, Italy, Spain, England, Canada, United States.

Besides visiting and revisiting some of the most spectacular locations in the world, the best thing about leading VC tours is being able to share my experience and knowledge amongst my VC group to support them on the ground. Most of all, I take pleasure in seeing our clients self-development and personal growth, both during and after the venture’s activities and projects.
FAVOURITE PROJECT
Cancha Cancha, a remote village community located in the Peruvian Andes at around 4000m, was the site of my most favourite Voluntary Aid Project. There, the VentureCo group participated in the construction of a community hall working alongside local women and men. Before commencing, a ceremonial ritual was conducted to bless the heavens, mountains and of course Pachamama – Mother Earth - ridding our project of all negative spirits. Not only were the local children a delight to play with, they also welcomed us into their school where they learn their native language Quechua, as well as Spanish.
FAVOURITE TREK
Torres Del Paine in Patagonia is currently my favourite trek. The challenge of completing the nine days; the variation in flat and steep terrain; capped off by ice climbing on Glacier Grey in the final days is by far the highlight of the trek.
