The Book Bus works with teachers and children in South America and Africa to increase literacy rates. We are looking for volunteers to join us overseas to help reveal the value of literacy and education. As a Book Bus volunteer you will read with and tell stories to young children, dramatising books through art, music and dance. Working with schools and communities and other volunteers you will help to install a life long love of reading.

We welcome individuals and families of all ages, from 7 to 97 and all backgrounds from teachers and librarians to plumbers and bankers.
Improve your Spanish on board our Ecuador Book Bus in the Amazon jungle, Andes Mountains or along the Pacific coast……or combine our Zambia Book Bus with a big game African safari or the World Cup in South Africa.....or join us in remote North Western Zambia at a refugee settlement!
