Field Conditions



Accommodation:

  • Kathmandu hotel 3 nights
  • Family stays and guesthouses during the Cultural Orientation and project phases (25 nights)
  • Camping whilst on project and when on the expedition trek (13 nights + 8 nights)
  • Family run tea houses on Everest Base Camp Trek
  • All meals are provided and will reflect the local flavours

Transport in Nepal

Transport:

  • Buses and taxis around the Kathmandu area and to/from project
  • Flights to and from Lukla to access Everest region



Group Size:

  • 8 to 16 Venturers.
  • 1 Leader plus local guides and project co-ordinators.



Venture Safety:

    • Emergency satellite communication and UK head office backup.
    • Major Incident Plan (MIP) rehearsed in our head office and tested.
    • Following over 20 years expedition experience worldwide, we have a tried and tested network of local resources to call upon in times of trouble.
    • Emergency evacuation and personal travel insurance: it’s crucial that everyone is covered. Our travel insurance providers are specialists who cover such events as the Paris-Dakar rally and round the world balloon attempts.
