Venture Overview
The Inca sun-god, Inti, was eclipsed when the Spanish conquistadors killed
the last Inca Emperor, Atahualpa, in 1532. Inca Venture explores the jungles,
deserts, and high Andes of the Inca Empire, between Atahualpa’s northern
outpost, Quito and his southern capital Cusco; the “Naval of the Universe”.
Three phases make one Venture:
- Cultural Orientation and Learn Spanish!
- Live and work with a remote Inca community!
- Explore off the beaten track on the trail to Machu Picchu!
Our 15 week Inca and Amazon Venture incorporates all the elements of
our 12 week Inca Venture before looping south to Chile's Atacama desert
and the salt flats and jungles of Bolivia. For a description of the 12

Safety Course in the UK gets you ready for departure.
- No habla espanol? Three weeks of Spanish
tuition and cultural orientation in Ecuador and Peru will get you on
the right track to experiencing life in a foreign culture (includes
a one-week family stay in Cusco)
- Make your travels make a difference to the world.
Join our community development projects in Ecuador and Peru and provide
direct aid to the disadvantaged.
- Discovery expedition from the Andes to the Amazon.
Eight weeks of adventure through Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Bolivia. The
expedition includes two high altitude expedition treks in the Andes,
an offshore visit to the Ballestas Islands marine reserve, the mysterious
Nasca Lines, exploring the Atacama Desert in Chile, 4 x 4 jeep crossing
of the Uyuni salt flats, Amazon wildlife and jungle exploration in Bolivia,
island hopping on Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu and the "lost city
of the Incas". Adventure activities include mountain biking, surfing
and white-water rafting.

This Venture is a comprehensive introduction to travelling in South
America so when it’s all over, why not stay on and explore a bit more?
South America itself is a huge continent and countries like Argentina
and Brazil are within easy reach of your Venture finishing point. Further
a field you can fly north to Central America and make use of your Spanish
skills in countries like Guatemala, Mexico and even Cuba! Airline connections
are available to incorporate South America into a Round the World travel
plan.
