Dear Inca Amazon Venturees
May I briefly have your attention please,
The fact is as everyone sadly knows,
This expedition is coming to a close.
It's been epic, varied, a brilliant time,
In fact, like the chocolate it's been sublime!
With Spanish school, Book Bus and rafting fun,
Giving back through work, then chilling in the sun,
Exploring ancient sites, even crashing on a lake,
What more could we ask for for goodness sake!
We sampled pisco sours, cuy and other delights,
and trekked to the Andes highest heights.
We saw llamas, condors and hard working 'buros'
learnt that "todo es posible y nada es seguro."
Visited witchcraft markets and dressed up in leaves,
Felt the desert's dry heat and the ocean's cool breeze.
Through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile,
We created a library, explored jungles, found time to be silly.
We sand boarded down the Atacama dunes,
Occasionally got drunk and acted like loones.
Congratulations on surviving this 15 week venture,
Overcoming challenges, kicking back and having an adventure.
This international group has been such great fun,
& I hope we keep in touch in the times to come.
Please forgive my mistakes or faults if you could,
Despite all, please know my intentions are good.
So thank you for sharing this amazing trip.
Now let's go by the pool with a drink and let rip!
