Happy New Year!
2009 was an interesting year for overseas travel with the recession and the popularity of the "staycation" but thank you to everyone who travelled with us last year and I hope you'll do so again in 2010!
Glad to see Lonely Planet have released an alternative top 10 destination list for 2010....India and South Africa are now there but still no Zambia or Ecuador...I think this calls for a VentureCo list..................
Our Top 5 destinations for 2010 are:
1 - Ecuador
A diverse, friendly and suprising country of contrasts.
One day you could be climbing the world's highest active volcano with an ice pick and the next be exploring and sweating in the Amazon jungle!
2 - India
A VentureCo favourite, you can visit this vast, chaotic, mind-blowing country 100 times and you will still only scratch the surface. From magical Rajasthan to the majestic Himalaya! Awesome!
3 - Zambia
The best country in Africa! Friendly, stunning, abundant with wildlife....just amazing!
4 - Peru
A long time favourite - it ticks every box going from awe inspiring ruins (Machu Picchu) to the Amazon Jungle to great surfing beaches to cosmopolitan cities!
5 - Botswana
Three words... Chobe National Park
