Field Conditions


Accommodation:

  • Hostel in Moshi on arrival and school and/or bunkhouse accommodation during project Camping on Safari
  • Hostel in Arusha before Mt Meru climb
  • Camping during Meru climb (3 nights)
  • Hostel in Arusha or Moshi before Mt Kilimanjaro climb
  • Camping during Kilimanjaro climb (6 nights)
  • Hostels in Zanzibar
  • All meals are provided and will reflect the l ocal flavours

Transport:

  • Buses and taxis around the Moshi area and to/from project
  • 4 x 4 vehicles during wildlife safari
  • Bus and Ferry to Zanzibar

Group Size:

  • 8 to 16 Venturers.
  • 1 Leader plus local guides and project co-ordinators.


Venture Safety:

    • Emergency satellite communication and UK head office backup.
    • Major Incident Plan (MIP) rehearsed in our head office and tested.
    • Following over 20 years expedition experience in Peru, we have a tried and tested network of local resources to call upon in times of trouble.
    • Emergency evacuation and personal travel insurance: it’s crucial that everyone is covered. Our travel insurance providers are specialists who cover such events as the Paris-Dakar rally and round the world balloon attempts.
