VentureCo Office Staff
Mark Davison, Venture Co-ordinator
Mark was educated at Marlborough College and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. His "15 minutes of fame" was leading the expedition that ran Ben Nevis, Sca Fell and Mount Snowdon in 15 hours 28 minutes and that was, for a short time, a Guinness World Record. He worked for many years in Africa as an expedition leader but now spends rather more time driving the office than driving a Land Rover. He still travels from time to time and has led expeditions or explored independently in South America, much of Africa, India and south east Asia. Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
David Gordon, Operations Director
David was educated at the Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Queen's University Belfast. While at university he was a commissioned officer in the TA Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. David has followed the Mekong River to Laos, the overland route to Kathmandu and the flight of the condor throughout the Andes. He is a founding director of Overland Latin America and advises several well-regarded organisations on expedition logistics. David is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
Dr Paul Morrison, Medical Advisor
Paul provides medical advice and training to VentureCo staff during their Venture Build Up training. Paul works within the NHS as a consultant anaethesatist and is also a commissioned officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps(TA). He has accompanied 2 expeditions through the Andes and, closer to home, enjoys sailing his yacht in the English Channel.
Andrew Liggins, Marketing Co-ordinator
Andrew was educated at Solihull School and Nottingham Trent University. With a degree in Design Management he managed to successfully get lost in the World of travel. Highlights include an expedition in Tibet and exploring South America. Now back on British soil he is keen to pursue his interest in art and is looking forward to spending his summers surfing and his winters snowboarding.
Jenny
Hill, Venture Development Co-ordinator
Prior to University, Jenny served as a commissioned officer (Gap Year
Comission) in the Royal Logistics Corps. At University, she kept up her
interest in travel, highlights included studying in Finland and teaching
in Thailand. Determined to keep travelling after graduation, she went
on a six month exploration of South America. Jenny is a keen triathlete
and is the current VentureCo 10km champion. Jenny is looking forward to
leading a Summer Venture in the future.
Mink, the Office Dog
Mink the Office Dog is arguably the most important member of the team!! Her key skills include welcoming visitors to the office and boosting office staff morale. She likes to be paid in fuss, biscuits and doggy treats. Favourite place has to be lying in front of the fire in Mark's office where she can normally be found.
