Where can I find further information?
We offer all Venturers and Volunteers the chance to meet members of the VentureCo staff at one of our informal open days. Here you can find out more about our Ventures and what you can expect to acheive with your Volunteer Project. If you are interested in attending one of our open days please let us know in advance . Open Evenings are held in London on the first Tuesday of each month and in Warwick on the third Tuesday of each month.
Open Day Dates

If you are unable to make it to one of the Open Evenings you are welcome to give us a call! The staff in our Warwick HQ are experienced in all aspects of the Ventures and someone in the office will be able to talk to you about your area of interest. We enjoy our work and take pride in what we do so if you want to know more, just pick up the phone or send us an e mail.

If you would like to talk directly with a former Venturer please Contact us with your address and we'll match you up with someone in your area who has recently returned. We are licensed under the Data Protection Act and will only put you in touch with people who have given us permission to do so, and we will keep your details absolutely confidential.

In addition to our Ventures, you may have some onward travel plans that you would like to discuss. Between us our UK staff have visited more than 50 countries and that’s not including Europe! So again, call us to discuss the travel options before and after your Venture.

When should I apply?
Applications are welcome throughout the year. There are only 16 places on each team and Ventures are popular and may fill up several months in advance. The best advice is to get things moving as early as possible to make sure you get your first choice destination and date of departure. Having said that, we operate a 'Waiting List' system and can often do something to help at the last minute.

Making your reservation

1. We recommend that you come along to an Open Evening or contact us to arrange a 1-to-1 chat.

2. Complete the Reservation Form and send it to us at the FREEPOST address below with your deposit payment of £300. If you decide to use the VentureCo recommended travel insurance policy (details at the end of the form) you should send us the premium at the same time. NB: If you are reserving a place on Savvy Traveller UK or Savvy Traveller South America, please send a deposit of £100.

3. As soon as we receive your reservation form we will confirm your place and send you more information. You can download the Venture Handbook from the website to start the preparations for your Venture.

The Travel Safety Course
2 months before your Venture starts the team meets for their Travel Safety Course. During the course you’ll get to know the other members of your group as you prepare for travel within the developing world. People joining Ventures that last for between 8 and 16 weeks attend a 3-day Travel Safety Course, held over a weekend, at our base in the Peak District. People joining Ventures less than 8 weeks long attend a one-day course held on a Saturday in our Stratford-upon-Avon base. At the Travel Safety Course we will give you a copy of the Field Manual; a comprehensive guide to life overseas. Your flight plan
As ATOL-bonded travel specialists VentureCo arranges for the group to fly out together, and after your Venture we can arrange for you to fly home from just about anywhere in the world, whenever you choose. The “Land Only” price applies if you decide to organise your own flights. Flight options are discussed at the Open Evening and in more detail during the Travel Safety Course. We can only arrange flights that originate in the UK.
