VentureCo are pleased to be associated with Responsible Travel.com who
is a leading resource for travellers looking for working holidays with
a conscience. We work hard to ensure all our Ventures have a beneficial
impact upon the countries and communities we visit. From our inception,
we have ensured that our responsible travel (RT) philosophy permeates
everything we do, both at home and abroad. This section of our website is dedicated to showing you how we put our
RT policy into practice and how we strive to have the least impact on
our environment. Our code of practice is a written document divided into
six spheres. In 2006 VentureCo were short listed for an award under the section of
best volunteering organisation and in 2007 they were also nominated under
this section. These awards are presented annually at the World Travel
Market and acknowledge tourism ventures all over the world that make a
positive contribution to conservation and the economies of local communities
while minimizing any negative impacts of tourism. VentureCo take great
pride in being nominated for these awards and endeavour to keep up these
high standards in the future.
