Nyala Park
The small Nyala Park is within the Nchalo Sugar Estate, part of the Illovo Sugar Company’s property and consists of primary forest (i.e. it has never been logged.) which is incongruous with the surrounding acres of farmed sugar cane. It’s a reminder of how the country looked before the advent of David Livingstone and the Europeans.
Nyala Park wildlife
It’s a lovely spot to visit and best suited for a picnic stop coming to or returning from Lengwe and Majete national parks. The park contains wildebeest, oribi, giraffe, impala, Nyala and a variety of birds all of which thrive in the beautiful woodland, with guaranteed water from the surrounding irrigation systems.
Special permission required from the landowner, which we can arrange upon request.
