Delhi by bike (½ day)
For our half day delhi bike tour, we can collect you at any time, morning or evening and set off with your guide to discover the backways and hidden places of Delhi.
From Old Delhi we head into the city and stop at the Jama Mosque, near Manoha Market. This holy place was built by Shah Jahan, the same man who built the Taj Mahal. One of the most amazing facts about this mosque is that it can accommodate 25,000 people. Now that’s what I call a congregation!
Chawri Bazar Road
Opposite Jama Mosque is Chawri Bazar Road – and bizarre it certainly is! To walk down this busy road is to see every aspect of India all in one place. To travel through by bike, which somehow makes you anonymous, is quite remarkable! Chawri specialises in metal-ware and the standard of craftsmanship is first class.
If you wish you can include the Red Fort (entrance fee not included) but this can also be visited separately, without bikes.
By contrast it’s great to cross to New Delhi and explore the India Gate, Parliament Building and Presidential Palace. Welcome to India!
