2 nights at Loldia House
At Loldia House you’ll experience the life of Kenya’s early settlers. Loldia House is an ideal spot to relax, taste the pleasures of Kenyan country life and explore the Great Rift Valley.
There are beautiful views of the dormant volcano, Mount Longonot. Wild animals roam free on the farm and in the evenings hippo munch quietly by the waterside. Britain’s Country Life Magazine even described Peter, Loldia’s Manager as “probably the best butler in the world”.
Loldia House is only a two hour drive from Nairobi and within easy reach of Nairobi’s International Airport. It is a perfect place from which to begin your exciting safari holiday around Kenya. It is also conveniently located for day trips to the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. There are now also daily flights on Safari Link Aviation direct from Loldia House to the Masai Mara.
(full board accommodation, 3 meals per person per night booked, bottled water, & all soft drinks, beers and house wines, laundry and transportation. Transportation will be in our custom built 4WD vehicles to Lake Nakuru National Park and / or Hells Gate National Park, to local flower farms, to the local school, bird-watching, to Crescent Island, or exploring the ranch by vehicle).
The setting is magical. So much so that almost a century ago it was reserved, exclusively, for Kenya’s colonial Governors. Governors’ Camp nestles in the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, it’s waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile.
Some of the tents line the riverbank, with uninterrupted views over the Mara River others have views across the sweeping plains. Created in 1972 Governors’ Camp set new standards in luxury for a tented camp. Today it’s still Africa’s best.
Everything is under canvas, all tents have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushing toilets.
(full board accommodation, 3 meals per person per night booked, bottled water, laundry, and transportation. Transportation will be in custom built 4WD vehicles. It includes all airstrip transfers and three excursions daily into the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and surrounding areas, to local Masai Villages (Manyattas), and to / from the local schools and other community and conservation projects we support and which guests may wish to visit)
2 nights Mfangano Island
Lapped by the waters of Lake Victoria shaded by giant fig trees, and lost to the world, Mfangano Island Camp is an oasis of tranquility, an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Your first view is of beautiful tropical gardens set on a secluded bay. Lawns hug the waterline, flowerbeds and rock gardens surround the camp. Enormous boulders sit at the water’s edge, a perch for cormorants or giant monitor lizards to sun themselves.
If all you desire is to laze in the sunshine, each room has it’s own private veranda with sun beds. Or there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied. The food’s as fresh as can be, fished from the lake (hopefully by you!) or picked fresh from the island’s vegetable gardens and orchards.
(full board accommodation, 3 meals per person per night, bottled water, laundry, and transportation. Transportation will be by custom built boat to / from the lodge, to the local village and school, and to principal points of interest around the island)
Included: Return flights from Nairobi, Local departure taxes, Airstrip Transfers and park entrance fees.
The package excludes: Items of personal nature and all that is not mentioned above.
